Hello
Meet the owner and founder of Monroe Tax Connect, Kesta Pierre, an authorized IRS E-File provider. In 2014, Kesta obtained a seasonal job as a first-time tax preparer with Jackson Hewitt, after successfully passing various training courses required to obtain the position. These courses are all within the field of study of ethics and federal tax law. From that moment, she applied all the skills learned from countless hours of training and managed to file a generous amount of returns during her first tax season as a preparer. Helping others during tax season inspired Kesta to continue and take the initiative by creating services to help taxpayers seek genuine, accurate, affordable, and professional services. She strives to lend her knowledge and expertise to her clients educating her on their financial situations. As a professional tax preparer at Monroe Tax Connect, Kesta is willing to work with you from the moment you make your first contact throughout the course of the year, even after you receive your refund.
My Story
"I was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the city home to Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I spent all of my childhood/early adulthood in Massachusetts, and in 2016, I said bye to my city and moved to the south. Honestly, that move was probably one of the best decisions I have made in my entire life. The cost of living in Massachusetts was rising, and prices were getting way too expensive. I knew I was not mentally nor financially stable enough to keep living a check-to-check lifestyle, especially after not being able to maintain a decent job upon graduating high school. (Yeah.. life happens, but what can we do? Make the best out of it!)
I sacrificed some of my "fun time" (i.e., hanging out with friends and extracurricular activities) to work and go to school strictly. I watched my parents from different households work day and night just for a paycheck, and I knew that I did not want to be that person who did not have leeway to enjoy the pleasures of life because I was working so much. I applaud my parents for taking the steps they knew to provide for their family, but I knew I did not want a job to have so much control over my life that I had no extra time for my family and, most importantly, myself.
Self-care is the best care!
Everything started working in my favor upon moving as I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. 2017, I obtained my credentials to become a National Certified Medical Office Assist. I also did a thing and got an x-ray technician certificate and went back to school to pursue my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Administration. In 2018, I started working remotely as a Medical Office Assistant for a mental/behavioral health practice based in Alpharetta, Georgia. In 2020, I became an entrepreneur during the peak of COVID-19 and founded Monroe Tax Connect. In 2021, I started learning more about the crypto market and became an investor. In addition to all these fantastic accomplishments, in April of 2022, I became commissioned by the Governor of the State of Florida as a Notary Public. It doesn't stop there, however! I have more things up my sleeve for these upcoming years.
I enjoy being by the beach, traveling, cooking and eating great Caribbean food (you might as well call me a foodie), listening to music (I find music so therapeutic), and spending time with the people I love.
I knew I had to find a way to make my money work for me! Not the other way around."
